Jack thanks for posting this.

Mike - I enjoyed your article. Eastern orientations rarely if ever come into the discussion from the bubble of western msn, 'experts', pundits and as well from alt news sites. The west seems to operate with an incomplete vision.

Bon shamanism, Tantra, and mandalas are very interesting consciousness research traditions. I think the gender identity confused would gain much if the tantra system of energy with its take on masculine and feminine distinctions would come into play in western education - just the very basics would probably be helpful let alone the sexual processes. Single cultivation brings out both.

The Ligmincha international in VA. teaches Bon.

I'm more familiar with Indian Yoga systems which talks about Tantra, Yantra, and Mantra in relation to this article. It seem in regards to mandala - as I see it, - which can seem like a specific target that leads toward its center, going deeper within each layer toward the center point. The physical world is so big around us until that inner center pt is reached somehow and then if conditions are right a paradigm shift might happen and the physical world is the insignificant point and awareness can expand more and more in wave frequencies into different states and 'places'..

A bunch of years ago a group of Tibetan monks that came through our town and constructed a Yamataka mandala sand painting - Yama, Lord of death - also a intro workshop was given by a Lama about this mandala and the Medicine Buddha Mandala. He said that one has to ask permission from the Buddha to enter this mandala. Not for tourist.

I like Tibetan knowledge systems as much as I can understand them. Seems pretty complicated to me. Seems more like a monks path rather then a householders system.

Thanks again for posting Mike and Jack. Nice change of pace.
