Basically just prepare yourself mentally and spiritually. Prepping will not help whatsoever if you are not willing to kill your neighbour. After day 4 of them being hungry and cold they will come for your provisions en masse.
Bug-out? Noise from your generator will carry for miles as with smoke from your fire. You will literally be "dead in the water" when they come for your stuff. Better to just trust in your "higher self" and enjoy the show.
I'm on the west coast (California) --I'm not getting across a border and not prepped. I'll have to accept death if it happens to me and my family. Bummer if it goes that way.....

As a child I would scream to adults who never took a child's opinion seriously that if you're of European descent we are at war even though externally it doesn't look anything like one we're aware of. At the very least we're all POW's or admit that we as a collective lost against a far greater and more clever enemy than we're aware of. How can you fight for yourself or family let alone greater community when you're not even aware you were defeated!
