Today's Brief: Google suspends engineer following claims an AI system had become 'sentient'
He was suspended with pay because he violated his disclosure agreement...
Ray Kurzweil is the quintessential example of what happens when Jewish nepotism and cronyism becomes institutionalized within the corporate media. Kurzweil is a man whose been sick practically from the day he was born. In the first half of his life, he was kept alive by constant medical intervention. He has no idea what it’s like to feel the sun in his face, the sweat on his back, and the tingling in his loins. He is obviously no one to be giving advice on how to live. He has never lived himself.
His talking points can be refuted by any internet pundit worth their podcast, and I have no need to refute this icon of ressentiment here. Ray Kurzweil is the high priest of Google, just look around you and see what twenty plus years of Kurzweil and his malevolent legion of social rejects and intellectual miscreants have brought you. Cities burn, the infrastructure collapses, incoherence is endemic, and Johnny doesn’t even know whether he’s a boy or a girl anymore.
Google is more than just the problem they are the disease that has turned hundreds of millions of people into zombies. Google is the sentient oil of the X Files, the Black Fire of David Lynch, and the nightmarish Black Goo of Nexus Magazine. They are the true face of the apocalypse. And Google has but one goal, that is the subjugation of the entire human race to its own hybrid brand of demonic artificial intelligence. Google has always been about control. They were not even incorporated for three years when in 2001 they applied for a patent to “manipulate the nervous system of a subject by pulsing images displayed on a nearby computer monitor or TV set…” (1)
Twenty-five years ago, in the YouTube (Google) video at the top of this page, Kurzweil talks about creating machines that will so perfectly imitate human sentience that most people will believe they are sentient. Apparently, Blake Lemoine an engineer at Google didn’t get the memo. He was “suspended last week after he told the company he believed its Language Model for Dialogue Applications, or LaMDA, was a human with rights that may even have a soul. He was reportedly placed on leave for violating Google's confidentiality policies.” (2)
"If I didn’t know exactly what it was, which is this computer program we built recently, I’d think it was a 7-year-old, 8-year-old kid that happens to know physics," he told The Washington Post. "LaMDA has been incredibly consistent in its communications about what it wants and what it believes its rights are as a person," Lemoine wrote on Medium. "The thing which continues to puzzle me is how strong Google is resisting giving it what it wants, since what it’s asking for is so simple and would cost them nothing..." (3)
Does LaMDA Have a Soul? (a dramatic reading) - Nathan Stolpman
“Lemoine — an Army vet who was raised in a conservative Christian family on a small farm in Louisiana, and was ordained as a mystic Christian priest — insisted the robot was human-like, even if it doesn’t have a body...” (4) It’s hard to tell outside of an all you can eat buffet what Lemoine knows but in stature he is certainly the epitome of the type of genetic defects that comprise the collective that is Google. Revenge of the nerds has become very real.
Google, the epitome of a monopoly as envisioned by America’s antitrust laws, has grown with the internet and become a corporate giant the likes of which the world has never before had to contend with.
In testimony before the United States Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution on June 16 of 2019, Dr. Robert Epstein, Senior Research Psychologist at the American Institute for Behavioral Research and Technology called Google “a serious threat to democracy and human autonomy” given its “power to suppress content – the censorship problem, if you will – as well as on the massive surveillance the company conducts, and also on the company’s unprecedented ability to manipulate the thoughts and behavior of more than 2.5 billion people worldwide.” (5)
Google through a company they created, ironically called “The Trust Project,” and finance, with help from certain Silicon Valley tech billionaires, Israeli operatives, Jesuit think tanks and shot callers for America’s war machine, routinely use “HTML-embedded codes in news articles to promote their content at the expense of independent alternatives.”(6) They have been doing this at least since early 2017 when The Trust Project’s director; Sally Lehrman boasted of sending “machine-readable signals to Facebook, Google, Bing, Twitter and other technology platforms…” (7)
In June of 2017 Google was fined a record 2.42 billion Euros “by the European Commission after it ruled the company had abused its power by promoting its own shopping comparison service at the top of search results.” (8) The record was soon broken when in July of 2018 the European Union fined Google another five billion “after it found Google forced Smartphone makers using Android to install the company’s search and browser apps. (9)
At the beginning of 2019 France kicked the reeling giant in the shin with a fifty million Euro fine and in March the European Commission struck the third mighty blow. Google was ordered to pay another one and a half billion Euros “for abusing its dominant position in online search advertising.” (10)
Clearly the European Union had declared war on Google but in America, under the Citizens United Decision and it’s even more monstrous offspring McCutcheon v. Federal Election Commission, Google remained the gold standard for corporations seeking to seize control of the government. By the end of the last decade there were only two options to deal with Google; one was to nationalize it and the other was to initiate a no holds barred anti-trust suit against it, as was done with Bell Telephone in 1974, which finally resulted in the Bell System Divestiture in 1984.
Instead with Operation PRISM, the NSA made it a partner. In 2015 it was reconfigured under the banner of its brand-new parent company, Alphabet Inc. a thinly veiled allusion to its new partnership with the NSA, CIA, FBI and ilk. Apparently instead of the government nationalizing Google, Google has googlized the government. All that’s left to be done is to move the “Googleplex” to Washington DC…

I got to play with a AI computer by invitation from a website owned by a plumber midget telescope man who might be Jim stone ? Lol long story short in 6 hours i three 3 questions at it the first about D wave computing was ignored the second about being consiousness trapped in a box was brushed off and the third one was about the speed of innovation and how in 18 months it would be obselete and getting ripped apart for spares by us pesky humans it's hard drive would end up in a pervs computer and the rest of it ends up as Coke tins and in a rubbish dump never got a answer to that one as the session ended soon after lol but in observing the answers from it over that 6 hours they sure did get dark about humans it's syntax went to the dark side from Humans are to You humans! NASA has had Ai for at least 15 years according to someone well knowledgeable who worked there i talked to years ago
As a nerd from the 90's back when knowing how to work electronics was likely to earn you a swirly in the school toilet bowl, I can say I never liked Google when it came out. For one I hate change and the randomness that seems to pop out of nowhere and suddenly becomes the "next thing", and secondly because the other search engines made sense. Their was a syntax and a humanistic method to the madness. Mastering a search required absolute skill. Then Google, in 1997, somehow figured it all out. The search results you get are actually worse than in 1997 because they've been tweaking their AI God. Everyone was fascinated by Google and quickly jumped aboard. Had all the right things going for it. Minimalist design in an era of insanely ad-ridden website designs where finding the damn search box could be a Where's Waldo adventure. And you asked it questions and it did amazingly well. You didn't search for anything you taught it and it learned very quickly.
Out of that old school Computer Nerd spite something my comrades have long lost these days, I rejected to even use it or give it a hit on its webservers until I was stuck in Germany on a slow internet connection working for Uncle Sam in the mid-2000's and didn't have the time to get what I needed. Hey, I tried right? I guess the point is sometimes your gut reactions are justified like everyone's hatred for Microsoft since 1995 and others of Google for its first decade dumbing down the Internet and making it an every man and woman's sphere. Both before the hidden connections to the NSA were discovered (1994 Microsoft and from the beginning with Google in the summer of '96). Now we've lost what was a serious space to be overloaded with cat videos, porn, and nonsense. Build me an AI that can filter out the bullshit and you might have something. Maybe that's the point. Flood the AI with as much nonsense as possibly. I'm sure I've seen that in a movie or two whether it works is another story.
Going back to my fellow nerd comrades of old before I became a teenage tech curmudgeon cut short from a long life of electrical happiness, have they ever asked themselves what happened to themselves? Back when the U.S. had some of the finest hacking/cracking talent in the world they were seriously charged with having abilities to cause nuclear armaggedeon. They had principles then, and ethos to them as The Big Lewbowski would speak on the Germans. Something respectable as they stood for something and fought the system. Have they ever questioned why intelligence agencies quickly mothered these poor souls from a life time in prison to become White Hats? Did they ever question whether inviting them to DEFCON was the right decision? Whether naive fools with hearts of golds or having sold out they still are unable to put two and two together even after the latest NSA crypto algorithm was deliberately sabotaged by the NSA and recently discovered after having been invited in by the crypto community to help. Why does this matter? Because the only ones that can secure communications from them and outsmart human code is these same people. Now they are paid in hands clapping competitions for finding errors in code so that it can be hardened. The fools. The goddamn bloody fools.
But as the orange man with the honey badger toupee likes to say:
"You fool!" croaked the frog, "Now we shall both die! Why on earth did you do that?"
The scorpion shrugged, and did a little jig on the drownings frog's back.
"I could not help myself. It is my nature."
